55th CBHL Annual Meeting 2023

A LibGuide for the CBHL Annual Meeting in 2023, hosted virtually by the Fort Worth Botanic Garden | Botanical Research Institute of Texas.

Welcome

55th Annual Meeting
The Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries

May 2-4, 2023

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden | Botanical Research Institute of Texas welcomes The Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries and others to the 55th Annual Meeting in virtual format!  The conference will be delivered online only, and registration is free but required.

The 2023 meeting theme, Hybridity and Harmony, speaks to the cross-breeding of plant species as well as libraries' changed workspaces and models for connecting with in-person and virtual patrons.  The harmony aspect of the theme refers to the delicate balance needed to carry out our jobs and effectively reach our patrons.  In short, the theme refers to the balancing act of delivering information services and expertise both in-person and virtually.

We will share our best practices in remote work, collections care and management, trends in technology and user engagement, and fresh strategies for adapting and flourishing in an ever-changing digital landscape.

Several special speakers will bring the theme of hybridity and harmony to life. To learn more, go to the Guest Speakers tab.

  • If you would like to present, submit your abstract and brief bio here by Friday, April 21, 2023.
  • Suggest topics for Friday's Table Talks by emailing Ana at anino@fwbg.org.
  • Will this be a hybrid conference?  No.  This will be a virtual conference only. Read more about registration here.
  • Virtual registration is open until Friday, April 21, 2023.

We hope you'll join us virtually this May as we come together to thoughtfully engage and share perspectives as we envision the future for CBHL and its Annual Meeting!
