  1. On your desktop or laptop, navigate to the ebook collection on the MCC Library catalog.

  2. Once you have selected the item you would like to download, click on the ebrary link in the Holdings tab in the catalog record.

  3. You will be taken to the ebrary log-in page. Log-in using your MCC email address or the email address you use to receive notifications from Mt. Cuba Center.

  4. The book information page will open. Click the   button.

  5. In order to download a chapter or page range, click the Download  button at the top of the screen.

  6. A Print to PDF window will open. Choose the page range that you want to download, then click Continue.

  7. Once the PDF is created, you will be prompted to open it:

  8. Once you click the Open PDF button, you will be prompted to Open or Save the file. You should click the dropdown arrow next to Save, and choose Save As. Save it to a file location where you can easily find it later.

You can now transfer the file to your Kindle:

  • Transferring via USB Cable

    • Attach your Kindle to your computer using the USB cable that came with your Kindle. It may take a moment for your computer to acknowledge and fully connect the Kindle.

    • Your Kindle device will display as a separate hard drive on your "My Computer" window. If this window does not open automatically after your Kindle is fully connected, double-click "My Computer" to open it.

    • Double-click your Kindle drive in the "My Computer" window.

    • Double-click the folder within your Kindle drive labeled "Documents."

    • Locate the PDF file you wish to move. You can either drag and drop the title into your Kindle documents folder, or you can right-click the PDF file and select "Copy," then right-click in your Kindle documents folder and select "Paste."

    • Eject the Kindle from your computer. You can now read the PDF on your Kindle.
