Smithsonian Libraries and Archives welcomes The Council on Botanical and Horticultural Libraries to its first virtual conference!
The theme, What's Next: The 21st Century Botanical & Horticultural Library will allow information professionals working in libraries to discuss our future and how the future will affect our profession and the libraries where we work. More than a year into the Covid-19 pandemic, our profession continues to face unprecedented times in how we work and serve our customers. Botanical and horticultural libraries are facing trends which not only impact them, but their parent organizations as well. This conference will address these trends and discuss possible solutions to challenges we face in our complex, fascinating, professional world.
The conference is entirely online. It will feature guest speakers and member presentations. CBHL Host Committee members, Barbara Ferry and Robin Everly, will show through presentations what makes the Libraries and Archives at Smithsonian unique and special.
The conference is free but registration is required.
