Composed of interconnected chapters and conveyed through music, movement, language and video, this world premiere – developed by the Guthrie – explores exile, borders and the displacement of peoples now and throughout time. At once funny and poetic, cinematic and theatrical, Refugia is a vital new work not to be missed.

Brave New Workshop Comedy Theater  824 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55403  (14 miles/19 minutes from airport, 20 miles/24 minutes from conference hotel) Founded by Dudley Riggs in 1958, the Brave New Workshop  is the longest running satirical theatre in the country specializing in political and social satire.

Hennepin Theatre Trust, the owner of the historic Orpheum, State, Pantages and New Century Theatres is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to arts-inspired community cultural development.  They achieve their mission by presenting a rich mix of live performances, creating inspiring arts education experiences and advancing a thriving Hennepin Avenue cultural district in downtown Minneapolis.
