Contributing to a National Digital Infrastructure – with help every step of the way (National Leadership Grant project team)  An "Expanding Access to Biodiversity Literature" Biodiversity Heritage Library project.

The Expanding Access to Biodiversity Literature grant project is committed to assisting those libraries, museums, and natural history societies who do not have the staff or resources to contribute digital content to the BHL or other national digital platforms.  This project hopes to  reduce or eliminate the barriers for new content contributors.  The workshop will provide a brief introduction to the project and will address the two primary methods for getting content into BHL.  This includes hands on training of BHL’s metadata workflow system and a walkthrough of preparing shipments for the Internet Archive digitization. 

Funds are available for digitization through this project, and step-by-step assistance is provided by project staff, for those institutions wishing to participate in the project.

Please bring your own laptop to take part in the hands-on training. This project is funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services and is being offered free of charge.
